The Bridgerton universe continues to expand! As the production of the much-awaited fifth season begins, we have seen another new face joining the cast. Actor Anwar Arousi has officially been cast in the upcoming season, What’s on Netflix can confirm.

Who is Anwar Arousi?
If you are not familiar with Russian yet, bridgerton The British actor is sure to get a bigger global platform. Claiming training from both the Identity School of Acting and The Unseen Acting School, Arushi has been actively building a solid resume. In addition to her upcoming foray into Regency-era London, her recent and upcoming credits include:
- Close Personal Friends (2025) Amazon – a feature film from MGM Studios directed by Jason Orley, in which he plays an EMT.
- Sister Edith’s Reformation (2026) – an upcoming feature film from Intech Films and Humble Priory, in which he plays Lincoln.
- Jake Goes on a Date (2024) – a short film in which he played the titular Jake.
- Bullman (2024) – A short film directed by Rebecca England.
Who is Lord Swallow?
As is standard in Shondaland’s secretive production, the exact details of how Lord Swallow will fit into the season’s overarching storyline have been kept secret. For all we know this could be a very small role, and we couldn’t find any references to the character online. However, whenever a new “Lord” arrives, you can usually expect him to be someone looking for a companion, a rival to one of our beloved Bridgerton siblings, or a new ally navigating the treacherous waters of Lady Whistledown’s society pages.
What else do we know about Bridgerton season 5?
If you need a quick catch-up on where things stand with the next installment of the franchise, Netflix has officially confirmed that Francesca and Michaela will be the romantic leads for Season 5. Fans are incredibly eager to see their dynamic performance as production continues in full swing throughout the summer.
