Skydance Animation and Netflix have another animated hit cloudyPeaked at #2 on the weekly global top 10 chart for streamers with 15.5 million views based on 26.4 million watch hours. This is in addition to ranking in the daily top 10 in over 90 countries.

The film’s instant appeal can probably be attributed to its superb voice cast, including Michael B. Featuring the mismatched duo of Jordan and Juno Temple, as well as comedy veterans like Tracy Morgan and Cedric the Entertainer. It has been going viral on social media for its vibrant clips and artwork, many of which have received millions of views.
We’ll see how it trends over time, but if it’s like Netflix’s other films in this genre, it will add value to Netflix for years to come. We consistently see from Netflix engagement data reports that animated films, whether licensed or from Netflix’s own output, are top performers and hold strong viewership over long periods of time. We can tell you that in the global daily top 10, cloudy Today managed to dethrone Apex as the #1 title for May 5th. Its next big competition will be remarkably bright creatures this Friday.
is next on Netflix’s animated slate step at the end of this year and Ray Gunn Later in the year, also from Skydance Animation.
