Netflix Italy’s hit family drama quickly renewed for spring 2025 my family (Storia Della Mia Famiglia) is ready to return. The second season will begin with intense emotions on June 10, 2026. Here’s everything you need to know.
The drama returns for six episodes and welcomes the famous Italian actor and director sergio castellito To the artists. Castellito will play Fausto’s father Gaetano. Netflix recently released the first teaser for the season (currently available in Italian; an international version is expected to come).
As a reminder, the first season returned in February 2025 and spent a week in the global top 10, with 7.1 million hours watched and 1.6 million views, but more importantly, spent 30 days in the daily Italian top 10, which is often a prerequisite for renewal.

“Despite his family’s love and commitment, the promise he made to Fausto has proven impossible to keep. One year after his death, the balance of this tattered and beloved clan is more precarious than ever. The only person who seems stable is the one you would least expect: Valerio, who has immersed himself in a new way of avoiding his brother’s memory – a surefire technique to protect himself from pain.
That is, until a most unlikely guest arrives: Gaetano, an invincible reminder of Fausto and his life force. The family must now face a dual challenge: rediscovering their unity and reuniting Libero with Ercole, while ultimately accepting that the time has come to mourn. Although the outcome is uncertain, one thing is certain: This family still knows how to laugh in the face of every failure and put love above every pain.”
