Netflix Confirms ‘Lupin’ Part 4 Release Date for October 2026

Assane Diop is officially making his much-awaited return to our screens. Netflix has just announced this hip Part 4 will premiere globally on October 23, bringing us back to the thrilling world of Gentleman Thief.

The French heist sensation, which became a worldwide phenomenon for streamers since its debut, is getting ready for its biggest presentation yet. We’re keeping a close eye on the new season’s production here What’s on Netflix?. From covering the news of its renewal in May 2025 (and eagerly awaiting an answer to Part 3’s surprise cliffhanger involving Assane’s mother and Hubert Pellegrini) to recently covering the conclusion of filming, we’ve known for some time that the series was eyeing a 2026 release (most recently, a fall window). Now, we finally have an exact date to mark on our calendars!

Along with the release date announcement, Netflix also released brand new franchise poster art to celebrate Asane’s return.

Filming locations and action-packed scenes

If you’ve been following our coverage, you know that this season is going to be incredibly action-packed. Filming took over the French capital over the past few months, and the massive production closed down several iconic Parisian streets, according to local French reports and traffic restriction notices. The crew filmed scenes throughout Paris center in the 16th arrondissement around Rue Beethoven, as well as Rue des Petits-Frères, Rue La Vrilière, Rue Catinat, Rue Croix des Petits-Champs and Rue du Colonel Driant.

We also recently got the first glimpse of an epic action sequence shot in the heart of the city, which shows Omar Sy riding a horse through the streets wearing Asane’s iconic long trench coat.


Returning cast and behind-the-scenes crew

Of course, Omar Sy will reprise his famous role as the suave, master of disguise Assane Diop. Joining him for this newly expanded 8-episode run (each episode is approximately 45 minutes long) is a stellar cast, including Ludivine Sagnier, antoine gouy, Sufiyan Guerrab, Shirin Boutella, theo christineAnd Laika blanc-francard.

Behind the camera, the series is headed by producer Georges in collaboration with François Uzan, with the participation of Marie Roussin, Florent Meyer and Tigran Rosin. inspiration from beloved Arsene Lupine Created by Maurice Leblanc, the script for Part 4 is written by Mathilde Arnaud, Jean-Yves Arnaud, Tigran Rosin and Florent Meyer. Directing duties for the new episodes are divided between Edouard Salier, Everardo Gout and Hugo Gélin.

The series is produced by Gaumont, this time in collaboration with Carousel Studios and remains Netflix’s biggest French hit. Between 2023 and 2025, the show’s three seasons were watched for 711.9M hours, which is equivalent to 154.9M views. It also ranks fifth and ninth on Netflix’s list of the most watched non-English language series of all time.
