Netflix has quietly revealed what could be your next high school teen drama obsession. you will be soon Hit the water with Crew Girl, a brand new Canadian coming-of-age sports romance set in the competitive world of prep school rowing. Following Netflix’s latest update, we now know that the eight-episode series will hit our screens globally on Thursday, September 10, 2026.
We first covered the project in August 2025 under its working title, Easton Prep. Directed by showrunner and executive producer Vivian Lynn (Skymaid, The Lake), Crew Girl is produced by Thunderbird Entertainment’s Great Pacific Media and Blue Ant Studios. A mix of high-stakes sports rivalries, soapy teen romance and class-dividing social issues, the show promises to take viewers inside the posh, cut-throat world of the East Coast’s elite schools.

What is the story of Crew Girl?
If you’re a fan of high-stakes teen sports dramas like Spinning Out or Zero Chill, this is perfect for you. The series follows the story of a young athlete whose life is completely turned upside down by a very public incident, forcing him to start afresh.
Here’s the new updated official synopsis for the series:
“Sixteen-year-old Teagan Tao was a rising star in single sculls rowing, but a scandalous family scandal ruined her future. After being humiliated by her father’s financial fraud, a teenage girl must flee with her mother to a small town, starting at the prestigious Easton Prep. There, she is not just an outcast, but trapped – there is no girls’ rowing team there. Her only path to the water is to take command of the school’s notorious boys. University team as their coxswain.”
Entering a brutal world of old money and ruthless competition, Teigen must find a way to lead an all-boys team that doesn’t want her. Warring rivals, messy romantic entanglements, and treacherous friendships spark drama both on and off the boat.
As she juggles her sailing ambitions and her complicated relationship with her mother, Ella, Teigen also finds herself trapped in the orbit of the team’s two biggest rivals: Josh Regis, the arrogant team captain, and Cam Dillinger, a quiet but fiercely driven “townie” who serves as the team’s underestimated and ignored MVP.
With undeniable chemistry brewing and classic enemies-to-lovers storylines, Teigen must straighten out her chaotic life, manage the boys, and find a way to win.

Production and filming of the series took place entirely in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, from late summer 2025 until its finale on December 10, 2025.
