Netflix’s international films this year have covered a wide range of genres, from crime thrillers and coming-of-age dramas to comedies. Here are seven of the best currently streaming.
Over the past few years, some of Netflix’s most famous movies have come from international divisions. Look no further than Norwegian Fantasy trollwhich garnered over 100 million views and returned for a sequel in 2025. Other big success stories include shark attack thriller under paris (2024), with a sequel due in 2027, and of course, ice society (2023).
So far in 2026, international Netflix movies haven’t come close to the level of success of leading films over the years, but there have been some solid entries. Whether you’re looking for a tense thriller or a light-hearted comedy, here are seven movies to watch.
burst fire

spanish psychological thriller burst fire (also title) Cortafuego) sees the return of fan-favorite money heist Star Belen Cuesta and Valeria Star Diana Gomez. Directed by David Victory, the film focuses on a dysfunctional family trapped in an insoluble moral dilemma after widow Mara (Cuesta), her daughter Lid (Candela Martínez), brother-in-law Luis (Joaquín Furiel), his wife Elena (Gomez), and their son (Mika Arias).
The group travels to a family summer home in the woods to prepare it for sale and heal the wounds of their past. However, what starts out as a simple farewell turns into a nightmare when, after a heated argument, Lid runs off into the woods… just as an out-of-control wildfire erupts.
The film received mixed ratings, with critics praising its intense action and emotional tension. Upon its release, it dominated Netflix’s Spanish charts and remained in the top 10 for three weeks.

Directed by Anubhuti Kashyap (doctor ji), Hindi-language psychological thriller accused Follows Dr. Geetika Sen (Konkona Sen Sharma), a widely renowned lesbian gynecologist in London. Although he is considered one of the best in his field, his career was ruined when he was accused of sexual misconduct. The fallout from the allegations turns her life upside down, jeopardizing her career, derailing her adoption plans, and putting her marriage with her partner Meera in doubt.
accused received mixed ratings overall, with positives including a powerful narrative and a strong emotional plot, presented through compelling performances – particularly from its headline star, Konkona Sen Sharma.
made in Korea

Style: drama, coming-of-age | Issued: 12 March 2026

Directed by Ra Karthik, made in Korea is an easily watchable comedy-drama about a small-town Indian woman, Shenbagam (Priyanka Mohan), who dreams of moving to Seoul, South Korea to fulfill her aspirations. She eventually receives an open letter to work at a hotel in Seoul, and moves there with her boyfriend. However, South Korea in real life is very different from what she imagined, in ways both surprising and challenging. This is the ultimate cultural shock.
This film is not for those who like high-stakes, gripping thrillers, but for those who want a gentle, feel-good drama about finding your place in the world, this will fit the bill perfectly.
Mexico ’86

FIFA World Cup 2026 well underway, says Netflix comedy-drama Mexico ’86 Tells the story of Martín de la Torre (Diego Luna), who somehow managed to secure his home country Mexico as World Cup host in 1986 after Colombia ultimately withdrew. How does he achieve this? Through charm, wit and a lot of chaotic conversation. It is a satirical comedy, which takes a dig at the government bureaucracy of that time.

A feature film spin-off of the hit Brazilian series brotherhood, state of fear Set in São Paulo, the story centers on lawyer Cristina (Naruna Costa), who must negotiate with corrupt police to rescue her kidnapped 18-year-old niece Elisa (Camila Damião), who is also the daughter of the founder of a criminal syndicate.
state of fear It was praised for its entertaining pace and excellent use of long, drawn-out tracking shots for action sequences – perfect for those of you who like extraction 2. While it has spin-offs galore brotherhood crossover, state of fear It was also designed to work as a standalone thriller.

marked woman (In Spanish it is known as la desconocida) landed on Netflix in June 2026 after a limited theatrical release (no doubt securing its eligibility for awards ceremonies). The thriller takes place in the port of Barcelona, Spain, where a young woman is found bound, gagged, and completely disoriented and suffering from severe amnesia inside a shipping container. When he is admitted to the hospital, an attempt is immediately made to take his life. He is being hunted, and the clock is ticking. To solve the case, Detective Anna Ripoll and Officer Quique Zarate are tasked with finding the criminals.
Once it came out on Netflix, it stormed the movie charts and garnered 6.6 million views in its first week. The film has been compared Memento (2000 Christopher Nolan film) and jason bourne franchise for its action and Espionage Complex. If you want a gripping, fast-paced thriller, look no further.
Colors of evil: black

Style: Mystery, Crime Issued: 10 June 2026

Back in 2024, Netflix releases Colors of evil: red, which details prosecutor Leopold Bilski’s (Jacob Gierszal) investigation after a girl’s body is found on a beach. The film received a high rating, with a very solid 80% score on Rotten Tomatoes. is the next installment in the series Colors of evil: blackWhich comes from the same director, Adrian Panek, and screenwriter, Lukasz M. Maciejewski. The films are based on the best-selling novel trilogy by Polish author Małgorzata Olivia Sobczak.
Colors of evil: black Bilsky returns to investigate a case in which a young boy goes missing in a small town. The investigation reveals unexpected links to an old missing persons case, which resurfaces.
