We’re about to get an information blowout for one of the two big animated titles that headline Netflix’s remaining 2026 animated feature film slate and today, Netflix has added another high-profile name to the voice cast of its Steps film: Nikki Glaser.
Glaser will play Priscilla, described as “a villainous schemer” who will stop at nothing to control everyone around her.
Speaking about her new role, Glaser said in a statement, “It was such a joy to voice the character of Priscilla – the jealous, hard-working, wannabe princess, who is filled with unlikability and deep insecurities of inadequacy. This role was a long time coming for me because these are all characteristics I don’t relate to at all as a woman who has spent two decades making her way through show business.”
Glaser is known for her stand-up specials, including a couple that are exclusive to Netflix, such as her set on the series degenerate and his single 2019 special, Explosive. Elsewhere on Netflix she was one of the roasters chosen for the most watched roast in Netflix history taking a shot at Tom Brady.
Next, Glaser is set to appear in Paula Pell and Janine Brito’s The Fifth Wheel, in which she will star alongside Kim Kardashian.
To date, this is the fifth major star attached to the feature film. In December 2025, Ali Wong and Stephanie Hsu were announced in the lead roles for the first time. In April this year, we learned that Amanda Seyfried had joined, and a month later, Cheat Star Bette Midler attended.
Coming to Netflix later in 2026, step marks a major milestone as the first feature produced entirely in-house by a Netflix animation studio, bringing a new one Twist into a classic fairy tale. Led by Student Academy Award winner Alice Tzuay and Raya and the Last Dragon Co-Director John Ripa, The animated adventure follows supposedly “evil” stepsisters Lilith and Margot, who, I’m tired of living in Cinderella’s shadow, Steal the fairy godmother’s magic wand. Their Royal Ball kidnapping accidentally upends the story as we know it and dooms the kingdom to the tyrannical rule of a villainous schemer named Priscilla, who, as we now know, is voiced by Glaser.. To save your realm and your broken relationship, Lilith is forced to team up with Cinderella to fight biker trolls and escape from evil goons through the Screaming Woods.
Backed by Amy Poehler and Kim Lessing of Paper Kite Productions with producer Jane Hartwell, and introduced a collaborative script and story from a comedy-heavy writing team that also included Ava Tramer, James Madejski, Dana Schwartz, Felicia ho, Jane Chuck, ricky lindholm, and kate micucci, This epic quest promises to completely break the Cinderella mold.
