Chandler LeVack’s acclaimed indie romantic comedy Mile End KicksStarring Barbie Ferreira and Devon Bostic, is officially making its SVOD (subscription video on demand) debut on Netflix US on July 13, 2026.
Following its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2025 and theatrical screenings in the US and Canada in April 2026, the critically acclaimed upcoming film is set to find a massive new audience on streaming.

Written and directed by Chandler LeVack (who previously directed the 2022 indie darling i like movies), Mile End Kicks is a heartfelt, music-filled love letter to the early 2010s Montreal indie rock scene. The film takes us back to 2011 and follows 24-year-old Grace Pine, a rising music critic who decides to spend her summer in Montreal. His original plan is to write a 33⅓ book about Alanis Morissette’s iconic album jagged Little Pill. However, her goals take a drastic turn when she comes across a scrappy local indie band called Bone Patrol.
Taking on the role as the band’s publicist, Grace soon finds herself entangled in a complicated romantic triangle with two of the band’s members: ultra-stoned, magnetic guitarist Archie and narcissistic lead singer Chevy. What follows is the haunting, fascinating journey of a young woman trying to find her voice amid a male-dominated music ecosystem.

Critics have been generous towards the film. Since its TIFF premiere.
