Only 4 months after it ended broadcasting in Japan, its latest season Jujutsu Kaisen Coming to Netflix on July 23, 2026. The new season, titled ‘The Culling Game’, features the magicians facing their toughest challenge yet, as they battle Kenjaku and attempt to free Satoru Gojo from his prison realm.
Jujutsu Kaisen is a Japanese anime series and an adaptation of the manga of the same name by author Gege Akutami. The franchise is one of the best-selling manga of the last decade, with over 150 million volumes sold.
Produced by Mappa, the same studio with which Netflix recently signed a strategic partnership promising new projects exclusively for the streaming service. While the announcement did not confirm whether licensed Mappa titles will be coming to Netflix, it is clear that more titles from the Mappa catalog will be coming to Netflix due to the growing relationship between the two companies.
Jujutsu Kaisen’s first season First added to Netflix US in May 2024. The Killing Game, effectively Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, was available to stream for the first time on Crunchyroll, where it aired alongside the Japanese broadcast. Dubs in multiple languages later became available, but the new season will arrive on Netflix with an English dub.

“Kenjaku, known as Noritoshi Kamo and more recently as Suguru Getou, has begun the next step in his destructive, thousand-year plan of evolution and eventual eradication of ordinary humans. The higher authorities of the jujutsu world have reinstated the execution of 15-year-old Yuuji Itadori, after Satoru Gojou has been incapacitated as a result of Kenjaku’s master plan in Shibuya. While Yuuji is Unaware, he patrols the abandoned Tokyo streets with Chousou, and destroys all the cursed souls that come in his way.
Meanwhile, when Megumi Fushiguro is chosen as the next head of the Zenin clan, the fanatical and arrogant Naoya hurts the Zenin’s pride. In order to seek out and eliminate Megumi, he goes after Yuuji – but Yuta Okotsu is willing to become Yuuji’s executioner. Kenjaku’s “Cooling Game” – a harsh battle royale that stretches across Japan and forces Jujutsu competitors to kill each other – is set in motion, and young Jujutsu magicians join the fray to settle old scores, free Gojou, and free the Jujutsu world from the threat of Kenjaku.
