Universal Pictures’ spectacular new romantic comedy you, me and tuscany is officially packing its bags for streaming. Following its theatrical release last spring, the star-studded rom-com has set its initial SVOD debut on Peacock for August 2026, meaning we now know exactly when it will head to Netflix US.
Released in US theaters on April 10, 2026, and on PVOD shortly after on May 12. you, me and tuscany It is the latest feature from director Kat Coiro, who is no stranger to the genre after directing Jennifer Lopez. marry me (and most recently directing on CBS matlock). The film has a screenplay by Ryan Engle (Rampage, Animal), based on the original idea by Ryan and Kristin Engle.
Halle Bailey (the little Mermaid, purple color) stars as Anna, a former aspiring chef in her 20s who, after suddenly losing her housing and job, jets off to Italy to secretly crash at a handsome stranger’s vacant villa. However, when the villa owner’s intimidating mother (Italian film icon Isabella Ferrari) arrives unannounced, her unauthorized European getaway spins out of control, forcing Anna to pretend that she is actually the owner’s fiancée. Things become even more complicated – and much more romantic – when she meets the owner’s attractive cousin, Michael (bridgertonRegé-Jean Page).
Based on a screenplay by Ryan Engle, the film also stars Nia Vardalos, Marco Calvani, Lorenzo De Moor and Aziza Scott.
