It’s the end of an era for Lincoln. Filming has officially completed on the fifth and final season of Netflix’s smash-hit legal drama lincoln lawyer And tributes have started coming.
Since its beginning, lincoln lawyer has been a certified juggernaut for Netflix, spending an incredible 29 weeks on the Netflix Global Top 10 chart across its four seasons and garnering over 171 million views since 2023.
But all good things must come to an end. Production on the 10-episode final season has been underway throughout the spring and summer, with cameras officially rolling from March 2, 2026 until concluding this week.

Taking to social media to mark the emotional milestone, co-showrunner and executive producer Daylin Rodriguez shared a heartfelt goodbye with photos from the writers’ room:
“This is a series finale lincoln lawyer. Not the most exciting photos but they mean a lot to me. Our writers’ room, view of the writers’ room and my office. I will miss this show and everyone involved in it. This was the highlight of my career. Looking forward to what’s on the horizon. Thanks to everyone who watched. I’m excited to see your season five. I think we landed the plane!”
Leading man Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (Mickey Haller) also shared several tributes on his Instagram as production wrapped. Complete attraction? A hilarious video of the cast and crew sitting in front of the Los Angeles waterfront with Garcia-Rulfo while the crew lines up in unison and plays drums — a brilliant, timely homage to the viral Norwegian World Cup celebrations.
Upon the announcement of the final season earlier this year, creator and co-showrunner Ted Humphrey and co-showrunner Daylin Rodriguez also released a joint statement thanking fans for joining them for the ride:
“All good things must come to an end, but thankfully sometimes how they end is up to us. From the beginning, the mission was always to not only tell the story of Mickey Haller and his compatriots, but also to give that story a fitting conclusion… We’re extremely grateful to Netflix and A+E Studios for giving us the opportunity to get this plane off the ground the right way. But most of all, we’re grateful to the fans around the world for watching and supporting the show.”
Following that statement, Humphrey said on Instagram, “All I can say is thank you to our amazing fans around the world for watching and letting us into your lives! I’m so proud of the show and that Mickey Haller will get a proper and satisfying conclusion in the midst of shooting the final season (at least for now!). And who knows what other surprises the future may hold for these characters?”
lincoln lawyer has always been a love letter to Los Angeles, and its production footprint proves it. Filming of the final season took place in Los Angeles and the LA Thirty Mile Zone (TMZ). During its run, A+E Studios productions reportedly contributed a staggering $425 million to California’s economy. The show features a cast and crew of over 4,300 and was filmed at over 50 different iconic locations across the city, including Dodger Stadium and Grand Central Market.

Season 5 takes inspiration from Michael Connelly’s Seventh lincoln lawyer Novel, resurrection walk.
Mickey Haller’s world is turned upside down when his stepsister Amy (played by Cobie Smulders) comes to him asking for help in freeing a wrongfully convicted woman. Mickey will take on a difficult habeas petition to overturn a six-year-old murder conviction, uncovering a dangerous web of corruption and lies in the process.
A quick casting recap: As announced in May, the final season is bringing in several new faces to complete the story. Six new recurring guest stars are joining the fray: amy aquino (BOSCH) as Judge Olivia Alcott, Angela Trimbur (nice place) as Felicia, elpidia carrillo (blue beetle) as Muriel Perez, Nate Corddry (Testament) as Jimmy Finch, Tricia Helfer (lucifer) as Brooke Miller, and keir o’donnell (wedding Crashers) as DDA Lucas Peralta.
They’ll be joining some of our favorite returning players, including Becky Newton, Jazz Recole, Angus Sampson and Neve Campbell.
With filming now completed, the series has entered post-production. Although Netflix hasn’t set an official release date yet, an early 2027 premiere seems to be a safe bet.
