Topic big mistakesThe show changes the heartfelt nature of their previous show in favor of a more chaotic family affair, in which two completely dysfunctional siblings – community pastor Nicky (Levi) and school teacher Morgan (Taylor Ortega) – find themselves blackmailed into the world of organized crime after stealing a necklace from a local store. Out of their depth, but forced to perform dangerous tasks, the two fight their way through new duties given to them by the cartel.
In our 3.5-star review, we praised big mistakes to deliver plenty of laughs and a fun plot, but noted that it falls short of Levi’s other fan-favorite dramas, schitt’s creek.

While chock-full of cartel action, the end of big mistakes Leaves the story open for continuation. Instead of reaching a proper conclusion, it takes major twists and ends on a cliffhanger.
Throughout the season, both Morgan and Nikki continue to be pulled into different missions by different people. With each discovery, it seems there is someone working higher up than the person they are working for. It starts with Yusuf (Boran Kuzum). And then Ivan (Mark Ivanir) gets involved, and they inadvertently find themselves on the sidelines of the Italian mob.
During an eventful trip to Florida, Morgan and Nikki find themselves caught in the middle of a cartel massacre, with Evan and his crew killed while trying to make a deal. Returning home, and eager to get their lives back on track, they ignore the calls from their cartel ‘work’ phone, and gather to celebrate their mother Linda (Laurie Metcalfe)’s successful mayoral campaign. Well, it would be wrong to call it successful. The election was a final draw, and instead of being decided by a tie, rock, paper, scissorsHer opponent decided to step down and accept defeat from Linda.
Meanwhile, Nikki regretfully breaks up with her boyfriend Tarek (Jacob Gutierrez) to save him, after concluding that staying together could put her life in danger.
Gathering for a moment of family frolic, Morgan is pulled aside by her future mother-in-law, Annette (Elizabeth Perkins), who urges Morgan to forget her mixed feelings for her fiancé, Max (Jack Innanen), and follow through with their wedding. Of course, this connects Annette to the family, which now holds political power due to Linda’s mayoral success.
However, Annette doesn’t stop there. She then takes out the necklace that Morgan stole earlier in the season. In that moment, Morgan puts all the pieces together. her future mother-in-law Is Mob boss and mastermind; Both Ivan and Andrei worked for him. Turns out, the only reason both Morgan and Nicky survived the execution was Morgan’s relationship with Max.

Unlike a limited series, big mistakes It ends with the hope that the story will continue. Season 1 feels like an opening chapter, laying a solid foundation for more installments.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to see how Nikki and Morgan’s relationship develops. We’re also wondering a few questions: Will Morgan move forward with her marriage to Max? Will Nicky really leave his position as community pastor, as he said he would? How will Annette’s revelations as the boss of the mob operation affect Morgan and Nikki’s involvement in cartel business?
The season ends with an awkward family photo. They are celebrating Linda’s success as mayor, and Morgan and Max are planning a wedding.
