If you’re considering signing up for or switching to Netflix’s ad tier in the US in 2026, keep in mind that 59 titles are currently blocked (0.73% of the total library of 8,100 titles), making them unavailable for viewing. Below is a list of titles you won’t be able to stream on Netflix’s ad tier until April 2026.
Netflix, which launched in November 2022, had several shortcomings in its advertising tiers. The biggest issue was that many major titles, including Netflix Originals, were unavailable for viewing and were still blocked. When the ad tier first launched, 5.1% of titles were unavailable (326 out of 6,324). a few months later, In February 2023, it was 5.4% of the library (348 titles out of 6,444 available).. On February 7, 2024, only 175 titles were unavailable in the Netflix US library, representing a 50% decrease from the previous year. By December 2024, the percentage has decreased again to 151 titles, representing 2% of the total library of 7,381 titles (a decline from 2.1% in November 2024).
Why decline in December 2024? the majority of dreamworks interactive special Advertisements were unavailable in the level and were all removed on December 1.
House of Cards is not available on the Netflix ad tier.
List of Netflix Originals unavailable on Netflix’s ad tier
Let’s start with the Netflix Originals that are blocked at the first ad level. By 2025, peaky blinders Was on this list, although it is now available on all Netflix tiers.
The big catch in this category are DreamWorks Animation titles, although interestingly, gabby’s dollhouse Is not affected. House of cards MRC is an early Netflix title, and they still don’t have the rights to show it with commercials.
