After a 10-day, 695,000-mile journey, NASA’s historic Artemis II mission is returning to Earth today — a Netflix representative has once again confirmed that you’ll be able to watch the entire thing live on Netflix, in addition to countless other options.

The four-person crew of the Orion spacecraft—commander Reed Wiseman, pilot Victor Glover, mission specialist Christina Koch, and Canadian Space Agency (CSA) mission specialist Jeremy Hansen—are set to land off the coast of San Diego. Friday, April 10, 2026.

This event marks the culmination of a huge mission. Taking off from Kennedy Space Center on April 1, the crew became the first astronauts to travel around the Moon in more than 50 years, traveling deeper into deep space than any humans before them.

As we previously covered when Netflix first announced the addition of NASA livestreams to the platform last year, the streaming giant is moving NASA’s live feeds directly into its interface. It allows subscribers to watch their favorite original series as well as rocket launches, real-time ISS views and deep space missions. As noted, Netflix only streamed once in 2025 and missed the Artemis II launch. When we asked Netflix about Artemis II, they told us they had no current plans, but a few days later, everything changed, and a NASA representative told us the lunar flyby would be streamed.

Earlier this week, Netflix streamed the historic April 6 lunar flyby for 10 hours, generating massive global interest. According to FlixPatrol data, the first live stream successfully broke into the Netflix Top 10 in several international regions:

  • Ecuador: #5
  • Guatemala: #8
  • Canada: #9 (It makes sense that one of the astronauts is Canadian!)
  • Paraguay: #9
  • Cyprus: #10
  • Greece: #10

(If you missed the lunar flyby, a replay of the historic moment is currently available to stream on Netflix).

Netflix’s livestream doesn’t offer anything the other streams do (except for the Netflix logo in the lower-left corner). The stream was significantly delayed compared to other streams available online, and many users around the world encountered persistent livestream issues, with some experiencing issues with test cards, buffering, or the dreaded, “Thank you for your patience – wait. We’ll resume soon.”
