Jennifer Lopez has made Netflix her home for some time now, but until now her movies have mostly been on Action and sci-fi space, Whereas this entry feels very close to home.

Don’t forget that J.Lo will still be sticking with Netflix after this office romance with The Last Mrs. Parish, His next big project.

mexico 86 (2026)

Coming to Netflix: 5th June

Arriving just in time for World Cup fever to spread across the world, mexico 86 is a brand-new sports comedy anchored by the brilliant Diego Luna, who Netflix fans will know from his incredible acting Narcos (Also Star Wars fans know them endor/rogue one). The film tells the incredible underdog story of the team that managed to hold the 1986 World Cup against all odds. Expect plenty of laughs, heartbreak and throwback football moments as this ragtag group stages one of the greatest sporting events in history. It could easily get lost among the myriad of other titles that Netflix is releasing or has already released for the World Cup, but among them it stands out at the top.

Voicemail for Isabel (2026)

Coming to Netflix: 19 June

For those in the mood for a quirky, heartfelt romantic comedy, Voicemail for Isabel It stars the attractive lead pair of Zoey Deutch and Nick Robinson.

The story focuses on Jill, who copes with her sister’s death by leaving a voicemail to her chaotic life in San Francisco. However, when the phone number is inadvertently reassigned, an elusive Austin real estate agent begins receiving messages from her with hilarious confessions. This sounds like a brilliant modern twist on a classic rom-com setup that promises plenty of laughs and emotional depth.

in the hands of dante (2026)

Coming to Netflix: 24 June

If you like your films with a little more grit and literary prestige, In the Hand of Dante is shaping up to be a highlight of this month, although we doubt it’s going to be controversial, as it’s already been leaked in full and by most accounts it’s a bit of a mess.

Yet, this ambitious thriller weaves two parallel narratives: in the present, a writer helps a ruthless mob boss steal Dante’s handwritten “Divine Comedy” manuscript, while simultaneously following the great poet in the 14th century as he creates his own masterpiece. It’s a high-concept premise that feels incredibly compelling.

That stacked cast? It stars Oscar Isaac, Gal Gadot, Gerard Butler, John Malkovich, Lewis Cancelmi, Sabrina Impacciatore, Franco Nero, Benjamin Clementine, Paolo Bonacelli, Martin Scorsese, Al Pacino, and Jason Momoa.

Younger brother (2026)

Coming to Netflix: 26th June

Ending the month with what looks like a perfect pipe dream of a buddy-comedy: Little Brother. Starring John Cena and Eric Andre, the film tells the story of a highly successful real estate agent whose carefully constructed world is completely turned upside down when his eccentric “little brother” unexpectedly reappears in his life. Given Eric Andre’s frenetic, chaotic energy, coupled with Cena’s proven deadpan comedy chops, it’s practically guaranteed to be a wildly entertaining ride, especially given that bad tripAndre’s 2021 comedy remains one of my underrated gems from the Netflix library.

sang the song blue (2025)

Coming to Netflix: 13 June

If you missed seeing this spirited, heartfelt musical drama during its theatrical run late last year or during its recent special run on Peacock, you’re in luck. Thanks to the newly revised Universal Streaming deal, sang the song blue Netflix is making its long-awaited leap into the US this month.

Based on a true story that’s stranger than fiction, the film stars Hugh Jackman and Oscar nominee Kate Hudson as Mike and Claire Sardina, two down-on-their-luck musicians who form a surprisingly successful Neil Diamond tribute band called “Lightning and Thunder.” Directed by Craig Brewer (hustle and flow), the story charts their rise from dive bar gigs to unexpected hometown stardom, as well as the emotional difficulties that test their enduring love. Hudson delivers an absolute powerhouse performance here, and with a soundtrack filled with Neil Diamond classics, this emotional crowd-pleaser is practically guaranteed to be a big hit on streaming this summer.

creed (2015)

Coming to Netflix: June 1st

While the entire Creed trilogy and Rocky Balboa are touching down on the first of the month, 2015 franchise-reviver Creed is the absolute must-see film of our group, even though we highly recommend a start-to-finish marathon watch.

Michael B. Jordan (who recently lent his voice to Netflix’s cloudy) shines as Adonis Johnson, the son of the late Apollo Creed, who seeks out former heavyweight champion Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) to serve as his trainer and mentor. Directed by Ryan Coogler, it is an excellent sports drama that breathes new life into the iconic boxing franchise and provides an emotionally satisfying, adrenaline-fueled ride.

Scooby Doo (2002)

coming to netflix: June 1st

If you’re looking for the perfect dose of 2000s nostalgia to kick off your summer, look no further. The beloved (for now at least, after they were relegated to oblivion upon their initial release) live-action Scooby-Doo is coming to Netflix, bringing a brilliant mix of spooky camp and genuinely hilarious writing (written by none other than James Gunn) to the stage.

The first film, which is undoubtedly the better of the two, follows a bitterly fractured Mystery Inc., consisting of Matthew Lillard as Shaggy, Freddie Prinze Jr. as Fred, Sarah Michelle Gellar as Daphne, and Linda Cardellini as Velma, who are forced to reunite when they are all tasked with solving a mystery at the extremely popular spring break resort, Spooky Island. Are personally invited.

Whether you’re re-watching it for the hundredth time or introducing it to a new generation, this cult classic remains an endlessly quotable, undeniably fun ride that never gets old and comes at a great time, considering that Netflix is in the midst of production on its own live-action series adaptation.

Brothers (2022)

Coming to Netflix: 2 June

Arriving just in time for Pride Month, Brothers is a sharp, hilarious, and genuinely touching romantic comedy. Billy Eichner and Luke MacFarlane play two commitment-phobic gay men in New York City who stumble toward love. As they attempt to build a real relationship, they must deal with the complexities of modern LGBTQ+ dating, demanding careers, and their own deeply rooted personal insecurities. This is a fantastic modern rom-com that deserves a massive audience on streaming.

bad things (2023)

Coming to Netflix: 7 June

Arguably, the biggest and most exciting licensed addition this month is Yorgos Lanthimos’ brilliantly bizarre bad things. Kicking off awards season in a big way, this dark comedy-fantasy follows Bella Baxter, a young woman who is brought back to life by a brilliant and unconventional scientist. On the run with a cunning, debauched lawyer, Bella sets out on a whirlwind adventure across continents, growing rapidly and remaining steadfast in her purpose of equality and liberation. It’s a visual marvel, wonderfully weird, and an entirely unforgettable watch.

As you’d expect, Emma Stone is absolutely fantastic, and while Disney is very much against licensing their big titles themselves, we’ve seen Searchlight and other 20th century titles get licensed in the US – long may this continue.
