We were expecting more from the first week if desires could killWhich features some of Korea’s most talented young actors. Netflix has not yet renewed the series for a second season. Unless its viewership improves, we’re unlikely to see a second season if desires could kill anytime soon.
if desires could kill is a South Korean Netflix Original YA horror drama series directed by Park Yoon Seo and written by Park Jong Seop.
stars of the series jeon so young (my youth), kang mi na (summer friends), Bake Sun Ho (kick kick kick kick), hyun woo seok (to depend), And lee hyo jae (My Country: New Era).
The series focuses on a group of Seorin high school students who discover a mysterious phone app that grants wishes; Unbeknownst to them, it also brings a deadly curse to those who use it.

At the time of writing, Netflix has not yet decided on a renewal if desires could kill.
Looking at the first week’s data, the series has not had a modest start, debuting with 16.9 million hours watched, which is equivalent to 2.8 million Netflix views.

how is it If Wishes Could Kill performance Comparison to other K-dramas.
While the 2.8 million lags behind some of the other titles on the list, it’s not the worst-performing new original K-drama on Netflix, as it has performed better boyfriend on demand 200,000 views. There is still time for the series to gain more views and increase its viewership. If the series sees a decline in viewership in the second week, it is highly unlikely that we will get a second season.
The series is directed by Park Yoon Seo Commented on the future of the series And possible story plans if the series is renewed:
“In Season 1, the thing I struggled with the most – whether to include it or not – was the story of Hetsal and Bang Ul meeting. It seems like the writers have a lot of material for that. I think it will be interesting to incorporate those elements in Season 2.” “I hope that Jeon So Ni and Roh Jae Won will join Season 2… So I also hope that the audience will show a lot of love for the Haetsul-Bang Ul story.”
However, at this time, we are leaning towards cancellation unless the series sees a significant improvement in viewership.

If the mid-credits scene is anything to go by, there’s definitely room for a second season. While Si Won’s phone is destroyed, the app is still on Na Ri’s abandoned phone, and a student has been attracted to it, claiming a new host and victim. Is it as simple as deleting all traces of the app to erase the curse? Unlikely. For all we know the curse may have evolved earlier, but one thing is certain: as long as the curse has access to desperate people willing to risk everything for a wish, it will continue to take new victims.

Cast members who could return if desires could kill season 2
We can expect the return of three of the five lead cast members in Season 3:

- Bake Sun Ho Kim as Jeon Yoo.
- hyun woo seok Kang as Ha Joon.
As victims of the curse, we would not expect to see kang mi na return as im na ri, or lee hyo J Choi Hyeong as Yuk. Unless, of course, one wishes to bring all the victims back to life, this can have unpredictable and devastating consequences.
