While the setting and its inhabitants pop off the screen, the story may seem familiar and basic in its construction. The main attraction of Swapped is its broad, well-crafted and brightly designed world in which it lives and no one deserves more credit than director Nathan Greno and his animation team at Skydance.

Previous Skydance animated films like Lucky and Spellbound could be criticized for being several notches behind their Pixar/Disney and DreamWorks competition, but this time around it was even more impressive and imaginative than before.
