Go away
Netflix kicks off 2026 with another Harlan Coben crime drama. The streamer now has a large roster of Cobain adaptations (12 total), including some of the most popular stay close (2021) and Stranger (2020).
Go away is an intriguing and brutal drama based on a father, Simon Green (James Nesbitt), who will do anything to find his missing daughter Paige (Ellie de Lange). She falls under the influence of an underground cult and goes missing under mysterious circumstances. Simon takes it upon himself to locate his missing daughter. He follows the breadcrumbs and ventures into some of the most dangerous areas of his city in his search, encountering several ruthless individuals – and becoming embroiled in a murder case.
In true Harlan Coben style, this series keeps the tension high and keeps throwing curveballs. This certainly isn’t the best Harlan Coben adaptation on Netflix; It is in competition with some excellent series. Vladimir
Headlined by Hollywood superstars Rachel Weisz and Leo Woodall, Vladimir This is easily one of the most entertaining shows on Netflix to date. a workplace romance, Vladimir Follows an unnamed professor of English literature (Weisz) in the late 50s, who is herself a struggling writer. The series follows her lustful obsession with her new, handsome young co-worker, Vladimir (Woodall). The more time she spends with him, the more intense her uncontrolled and bizarre fantasies become.
The series takes some unique creative approaches. For example, Weiss’s character is never actually named, and she regularly breaks the fourth wall (talks directly to the audience). It’s these quirks and creative choices that add an extra layer to its storytelling. But let’s be honest, you’re not watching this for some groundbreaking story. You watch it for the humor and tension between Weisz’s protagonist and Woodall’s seemingly ignorant young professor.

Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials
Agatha Christie is the most famous murder mystery author of all time, introducing the world to the famous fictional detectives Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple. However, for Netflix’s three-part mystery seven dialsCreator Chris Chibnall narrates one of Christie’s lesser known stories, following young, rising detective Lady Eileen ‘Bundle’ Brent, brilliantly portrayed by Mia McKenna-Bruce (Persuasion, how to have sex).
Established in the 1920s, seven dials The film begins at an English country mansion during a lavish, glamorous house party hosted by Sir Oswald Coote and his wife Lady Coote. There, the handsome and extremely desirable Gerry Wade (Corey Milechrist) flirts with Bundles, hinting at a possible marriage. However, the next morning, when everyone wakes up still tired after the previous night, Bundles is shocked to find that Gerry Wade has overslept.
The series is a stylish, brilliantly produced production from start to finish. In our review, we deemed it a ‘mystery worth solving’. We also interviewed showrunner Chris Chibnall, which you can read here.

Jo Nesbo’s spy hole

Harry Hole. (Left to Right) Tobias Santelmann as Harry Hole in Harry Hole CR. Courtesy of Netflix © 2024
Norwegian novelist Jo Nesbø is one of the most distinguished novelists in the world of crime fiction, particularly for her Harry Hole novels which began in Bat (1997). His Detective Hole series was auctioned off for television adaptation for several years, and it eventually landed at Netflix.
The 9-episode first season was voiced by Tobias Santelmann (last empire) in the lead role, who plays it brilliantly. It’s a challenging role that demands range, but Sentelman delivers Hole’s deeply flawed anti-hero persona with ease. In the first season, Hole investigates a sadistic serial killer who cuts off his victims’ fingers and leaves behind star-shaped diamonds. Meanwhile, he confronts his corrupt enemy, Detective Tom Waller (Joel Kinnaman). It’s a packed first season, but it’s still paced well.
Netflix has not renewed spy hole For Season 2 – No plans to return at this time. At the moment there seems to be no possibility of its return, but we are not giving up on seeing more adventures of Harry Hole just yet.

Lord of the Flies
adolescence Author Jack Thorne brings William Golding’s original novel Lord of the Flies (1954) is easily one of the most disturbing and chilling mini-series of the year to hit the screen. At first, schoolchildren work together to survive, creating something that resembles democracy. However, as the series progresses, and power struggles come into play, their leadership turns towards dictatorship, and they begin fighting among themselves. It is a hair-raising and deeply disturbing portrayal of the fight for survival.
The series stars Winston Sawyers (Ralph), Lox Pratt (Jack), David McKenna (Piggy), and Ike Talbutt (Simon). Fans will also see McKenna in Greta Gerwig’s film Narnia in 2027.
