Get ready to go Plus Ultra once again! Following the steady rollout of previous seasons, Netflix has confirmed that the currently missing season, My Hero Academia Season 6, and the feature film World Heroes Mission will arrive on the service on June 1, 2026.
If you’ve been keeping track, Netflix has been working hard to catch up on the beloved superhero shonen series. It all started in 2024 when Netflix made a huge deal to acquire popular anime titles for release, bringing heavy-hitters like Bring It On. spy x family, mob psycho 100and the first batch of My Hero Academia Season on stage.
Since the initial drop of the first four seasons on March 25, 2024, Netflix has been offering fans a sequential release schedule of seasons and movies beginning in 2025 and 2026 (with notable drops in April 2025 and again last March and April). Now, the platformer is finally bringing us to one of the most action-packed arcs of the entire series.
This is exactly what is coming to Netflix 1 June 2026: :
- My Hero Academia (Season 6) – The highly acclaimed sixth season covers the explosive “Paranormal Liberation War” arc, where the heroes and Class 1-A engage in an all-out war against Tomura Shigaraki and the newly formed Paranormal Liberation Front. Note: Season 6 will be available in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia/New Zealand, and Latin America.
- My Hero Academia: World Heroes Mission (2021) – The third theatrical film in the franchise. When a sinister organization called Humorize threatens to wipe out all quirks on a global scale, Deku, Bakugo, and Todoroki must team up with pro heroes from around the world to stop them. Oh, and Deku has been convicted of mass murder and has gone on the run.
These will be in addition to the other two films that Netflix streams in the US: My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising (2019) and My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising (2019).
When is Season 8 of My Hero Academia coming to Netflix?
While the addition of Season 6 is good news for binge-watchers, Netflix is still a bit behind original Japanese broadcasts and dedicated anime streamers like Crunchyroll.
it’s netflix Season 8 is not streaming yetAnd it is likely to take quite some time for the latest episodes to hit the platform. Based on current licensing delays, Netflix viewers will have to wait for the platform to acquire Season 7 before we can even start talking about a Season 8 arrival date. Until then, Crunchyroll is your best choice for that and all other movies Netflix doesn’t have.
Don’t forget about the live-action adaptation!
As a quick reminder, catching up on anime isn’t the only reason My Hero Academia is heavily featured on Netflix at the moment. Legendary Entertainment and Netflix are currently collaborating on a live-action adaptation My Hero Academia. While details are still largely under wraps, watching (or re-watching) the anime is the perfect way to prepare for when the live-action film finally hits our screens.
June is shaping up to be a huge month for anime fans on the streaming service. For full details on what else is streaming on the platform, be sure to check out our complete guide to new anime on Netflix in June 2026.
