What is The Last Ship about?
For those unfamiliar with the hit series, The Last Ship originally aired on TNT from 2014 to 2018. Created by blockbuster veteran Michael Bay and based on the 1988 novel by William Brinkley, the show starts with a terrific premise.
A massive, global viral pandemic has suddenly wiped out more than 80% of the world’s population. The crew of a lonely, disaffected U.S. Navy guided-missile destroyer – the fictional USS Nathan James – must navigate a chaotic, dangerous new post-apocalyptic world while racing against time to develop a cure and save humanity.
The series is driven by Dane’s incredible leading performance, and she is joined by a stellar supporting cast that includes Rhona Mittra, Charles Parnell, Travis Van Winkle, Marissa Nettleing, Christina Elmore, and Adam Baldwin.

Netflix’s continuing Warner Bros. Discovery licensing spree
