More good news for my life with walter boys Fans! After massive announcements at the recent 2026 Netflix upfronts, we now have confirmation of when exactly my life with walter boys is back in production for its highly anticipated fourth season — and what that means when we finally get it.
If you’ve been keeping up with our coverage, you’ll know that the hit coming-of-age teen drama based on Ali Novak’s Wattpad sensation was recently officially greenlit for Season 4. The renewal was the biggest highlight of the Netflix upfronts in May 2026, which were filled with renewals, new project announcements, and teases about what’s to come on Netflix’s slate.
The renewal, of course, comes ahead of Season 3, which is due to drop a little later this year, with the goal of releasing in September 2026, as we last heard. Thankfully, Season 4 won’t take too many years to make, with a 2027 release almost certain to take place. Here’s what we know.
When does My Life with the Walter Boys Season 4 start filming?
We can confirm that production is currently preparing to return soon to the beautiful landscapes of Alberta, Canada. According to the latest production update, my life with walter boys Season 4 shooting is about to begin 27 June 2026.

These locations have beautifully brought the fictional, picturesque town of Silver Falls, Colorado to life over the years, and Calgary is once again listed as the primary base of operations for Season 4.

It’s a huge relief for fans to see the series back in production so quickly after the upfronts announcement, especially considering how challenging the schedule is for the show’s large cast.
What does this mean for the Season 4 Netflix release date?
With filming dates now locked in, we can begin to make a highly accurate prediction of when the new episodes will actually hit our screens.
First of all, we can definitely say that Season 4 will be a 2027 release. Filming will easily last through the summer and autumn, with production set to begin in late June 2026. Once you take into account a standard post-production, editing, localization, and marketing cycle, there’s no way the new season will be ready before midnight on New Year’s Eve.
So, when in 2027?
Judging by last season’s release patterns, My Life with the Walter Boys has found a very comfortable home in the late summer to early autumn aisle. Based on the show’s typical 4 to 5 month filming window and subsequent post-production changes, We are predicting a release date between August and October 2027.
Releasing in this window makes perfect sense. This not only aligns with last season’s drop schedule, but also perfectly complements the back-to-school season with a late summer or early autumn release – a prime time for Netflix’s powerhouse YA dramas to dominate the top 10 charts.
