Has it been a year already? four seasons It recently returned to Netflix for a second season, and despite some great reviews, it hasn’t exactly taken off in viewership, with a 63% drop from the first season. That being said, with the recent string of renewals for other Netflix comedy shows, we’re fully expecting to see The Four Seasons renewed for a third season. Here’s everything we know so far.
four seasons is a Netflix Original comedy series co-created by Tina Fey, Lang Fisher and Tracy Wigfield. The series is an adaptation of Alan Alda’s 1981 comedy film of the same name, which he wrote and directed. The second season of The Four Seasons expands on the story of the original film, exploring new romance, friendship dynamics, and drama.
The second season stars Tina Fey, Will Forte, Kerry Kenney, Marco Clowney, Erika Henningsen, Colman Domingo, Steve Carell, Steven Pasquale, and David Tennant.
The dynamics of a group of six friends who regularly vacation together are thrown into disarray when Nick divorces his wife of 25 years, Anne, and soon finds a much younger woman who joins him on subsequent trips.

Claude and Danny
Despite plans to start a B&B with Kate, Danny decides to move to Italy with Claude, but life gets in the way when the pair eventually end up staying in America to care for Danny’s elderly mother. The decision to do so was ultimately taken by Claude.
Claude is still desperate to return to Italy, but it remains to be seen how long he and Danny will take care of Danny’s mother. We hope the third season will explore how the end of her life will impact Danny and her relationship with Claude.
It would be cruel irony if something happened to a member of Claude’s family in Italy while he is busy helping take care of Danny’s mother. At the very least, Claude will definitely want to return to Italy, and the longer the wait, the more strain it may put on his relationship with Danny.

kate and jack
Despite their mishaps and miscommunication, the pair overcome a major personal obstacle in Season 2 thanks to an impromptu marathon, with Jack encouraged to run in Italy after his injury prevented him from running marathons in the USA. The pair completed the marathon together and expressed their love to each other to celebrate their achievement.
With their marriage seemingly back on track, it would be great to see the pair overcome their miscommunication issues from the first 2 seasons. This could take the form of renewing their vows, or, rather than attempting another solo venture, they could join forces to achieve Kate’s plans to open a B&B.

Anne and Ginny
Anne spent the season recovering from her grief and reinventing herself as “Anne 2.0”. She also finds a great friend in Nick’s girlfriend Ginny, who moves in with Anne and supports Ginny during her first few months of motherhood.
With Danny and Claude’s plans to move to Italy put on hold, Anne decides to stay in Italy and take care of the house for them. During the summer in New Jersey, she had a flash-in-the-pan romance with Mark, but it quickly ended when Mark got a new girlfriend, and Anne lied to him about living in Italy and finding a new boyfriend, “Gianpiero”. Life works in mysterious ways: she meets a man named Gianpiero (played by David Tennant), who is collecting her mail.

If David Tennant returns for the third season, we can expect him to explore a potential romance between Anne and Gianpiero. It will be interesting to see where this romance may take Anne, as she may commit to starting a new life in Italy, or alternatively, Gianpiero may come to America with her.
As for Ginny, she is learning life as a single and independent mother to her and Nick’s child, Gino. How much she’ll be featured in the third season remains to be seen, but we’d like to think that between Claude, Danny, Kate, Jack, and Anne, they’ll be checking in on her and Gino on a regular basis.
When can we expect to see four seasons Season 3 on Netflix?
The first and second seasons were released in May of their respective years. While the second season was released in late May instead of May 1, if the third season follows suit, we would expect a release in May or June 2027.
