Netflix is continuing its hugely successful partnership with French broadcaster TF1 to bring another sweeping historical drama to international audiences. Following its highly anticipated domestic broadcast, Summer ’36 (French title L’ette 36) has officially begun its global rollout on Netflix, with the “limited series” set to debut on July 1 in most regions. If you’re a fan of sprawling European historical dramas, Netflix has been treating you well for the past few years. The streaming giant previously teamed up with TF1 and production company Quad Drama for distribution bonfire of destiny (Le Bazaar de la Charite) And women in war (Les Combatantes).
