What to Expect from Sullivan’s Crossing Season 5?
WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD FOR THE SEASON 4 FINALE!
Season 4 tested the circumstances for Maggie and Cal, primarily due to complications involving Maggie’s ex-husband, Liam. However, in the season 4 finale (titled “Healing Hearts”), Maggie firmly closes the chapter on Liam fighting for Cal.
The two reunite in the final moments of the season, having given up and realizing that they are destined to be together. However, the huge cliffhanger arrived the next morning with a completely unexpected resolution that promises to change the dynamics of the show going into Season 5.
Talking to Swoon (via) Cinema Blend), series star Morgan Cohan explained the sudden milestone and how it perfectly sets up the upcoming fifth season:
“Why not? You know, once they’re committed… I know that Maggie is totally feeling good, Cal, after everything that’s happened. Why waste the time? Why not just dive into it? They’ve been through so much together that, if you can keep that going, keep the love and support and respect for each other that they both have, then I think they can do anything.”
Season 5 will undoubtedly explore the fallout of this huge leap, showing us whether Maggie and Cal can successfully “take the plunge” and plan a life together, or whether the ghosts of their past will resurface to test their commitment once again.

When will Sullivan’s Crossing Season 5 be on Netflix?
Currently, Sullivan’s Crossing streams on Netflix in 33 countries around the world. Because it is a licensed title (first airing on CTV in Canada and The CW in the US), its Netflix arrival depends entirely on the broadcast schedule.
For Netflix US:
Let’s take a look at historical US release data so far:
- Seasons 1 and 2: Added on July 8, 2025
- Season 3: Added on August 12, 2025
- season 4: Added on 30 June 2026
If filming is completed in December 2026, Season 5 will likely hit our TV screens in the spring of 2027 via CTV and The CW. Following the historical release trend, we hope for season 5 Sullivan Crossing To come to Netflix US in June or July 2027Shortly after its network finale aired.
For international regions:
For fans outside the US, release dates vary wildly. Major international regions like the UK, Germany, India, and Japan actually received Season 4 before the US (in early February 2026). Expect similar changes for these regions in early 2027 as the global distribution window opens.
What about Canada?
Ironically, despite being filmed in Canada, Netflix Canada is actually the last one. Because Bell Media (CTV/Crave) retains primary broadcast and streaming rights domestically, Canadian Netflix subscribers currently only have access to the first three seasons. Don’t expect season 5 to arrive on Netflix Canada until its Crave exclusivity window ends.
While you wait, you’ll no doubt have already checked out virgin river, Which will soon return for its eighth season on Netflix, possibly in early to mid 2027.
