There are a huge number of Netflix originals coming our way this summer, and July sees the arrival of some highly anticipated series, including the series little house on the prairie and the long awaited film enola holmes 3.
Summer is always an exciting time on Netflix, and 2026 is no exception. The streamer’s upcoming original slate promises a variety of genres. It also includes RLike streaming blockbusters are returning enola holmes And a new take on Laura Ingalls Wilder’s classic little house on the prairie. Plus, there’s also the much-awaited emotional farewell Heart arrester.

Millie Bobby Brown returns in her third film as Enola, the cunning and intelligent sister of Sherlock Holmes. Directed by Philip Barantini and written by Jack Thorne, the threequel takes a somewhat darker turn as Enola travels to Malta to rescue the kidnapped Sherlock (Henry Cavill). This discovery throws her would-be marriage to Lord Tewkesbury (Louis Partridge) somewhat disappointing.
The film also marks the return of popular characters Dr. Watson (Himesh Patel), Eudoria (Helena Bonham Carter) and criminal mastermind Mira Troy (Sharon Duncan-Brewster).

Created and written by Marie DeShyres and Catherine Touzet, summer ’36 A historical drama based on an original idea by Iris Butcher (producer) bonfire of destiny). The 6-part limited series takes place in Nice, France during the summer of 1936, as employees enjoy their historic first paid vacations. We follow four different women whose fates intertwine after the murder of a prosecutor at the Riviera Hotel.
The series is already available to Netflix subscribers in some regions, including France, Belgium, Switzerland, and South Africa. Early ratings praise its 1930s aesthetic and draw strong comparisons to Agatha Christie-style murder mysteries.

The streamer wasted no time in putting the series back into production for its return more than a year later.
Producer April Blair said, “Season 1 was fighting outside forces that were coming in and creating life-threatening situations.” Told Netflix. “Season 2 is really about the community, rebuilding in its wake, and coming together. There’s definitely a lightness and hope in Season 2.”
The upcoming season adds some new casting, including Ben Robson (animal kingdom) and Heidi Engerman (candy Man).

Directed by Tim Story (Fantastic four, let’s go together), this comedy stars Kevin Hart, Mason Gooding (scream 7), Zach Cherry (severance), Marcelo Hernandez (happy gilmore 2), Kam Patterson (Saturday night Live), Ben Marshall (Please Do Not Destroy: The Treasure of the Smoky Mountain), and Teyana Taylor (Grass).
The comedy film centers on a 40-year-old executive (played by Hart) who accidentally finds herself joining a group chat, but is thrown into a chaotic, three-day bachelor party with a group of twenty-somethings. He’s out of his depth, but this is an opportunity to free him and embrace the lifestyle. Can that stick with Gen Zers?
