unselected is a Netflix Original psychological thriller series written, created and executive produced by Julie Geary. The series is directed by Jim Loach (criminal record) and Philippa Langdale (A Discovery of Witches). Double Dutch Productions is the studio behind the series, with executive producers Iona Vrolik and Mair Craig-Brown and producer Nick Pitt.

Production on the series began in August 2024, with the original cast announced. Filmed in the United Kingdom, the series was eventually finished by the end of 2024, with a total budget of approximately £23.7 million to £33.2 million or £3.95 million to £5.53 million per episode.

molly windsor (three girls) plays RosieWhose sheltered life is turned upside down when a stranger saves his daughter from drowning. Suffering abuse from her husband, Rosie is inspired to embark on a love affair and a journey of sexual awakening.
ASA Butterfield (sex education) plays Adam. Adam is a staunch cult follower who puts fellowship before his family. While he punishes Rosie and gangs up on her brother in private, Adam struggles with his sexuality and finds himself intoxicated by his attraction to Sam.
