We’ve started learning what’s coming to Netflix US in June 2026, and one of the major new arrivals includes the entire creed The 2006 legacy film trilogy, with the sequel Rocky Balboa. Which will be released on Netflix in the United States on June 1.
Led by Michael B. Jordan – who you can currently see starring in the new Netflix animated film cloudy-The Creed films successfully revived the iconic boxing franchise for an entirely new generation, focusing on the son of one of cinema’s most famous rivals.
If you’re planning on binge-watching, here are the details of the massive hits coming to Netflix this June:
- Rocky Balboa (2006): Sylvester Stallone returned to the ring at that time, which meant his final departure for the character. Fast forward decades into his life, a widowed and aging Rocky is running a restaurant in Philadelphia. But when a virtual simulation predicts he can defeat the reigning heavyweight champion, Mason “The Line” Dixon, the Italian Stallion takes off his gloves for one last grueling, extremely emotional showdown.
- Creed (2015): Directed by Ryan Coogler (black panther), this excellent spin-off introduces us to Adonis Johnson, the illegitimate son of the late Apollo Creed. Determined to create his own legacy, Adonis seeks out an older, reluctant Rocky Balboa as his trainer. It’s a gripping underdog story that breathed unprecedented new life into the franchise and earned Stallone an Oscar nomination.
- Creed II (2018): The stakes have become incredibly personal in this sequel. Adonis, now the heavyweight champion and a new father, must confront his family’s darkest history. He steps into the ring against Victor Drago, the brutal son of Ivan Drago – the same man who killed Apollo Creed in the ring decades earlier.
- Creed III (2023): Making his directorial debut, Michael B. Stepping behind the camera for the franchise’s first film without Jordan Stallone’s Rocky. Here, Adonis is thriving in both his career and family life, until a ghost from his past, childhood friend and former boxing prodigy Damien “Dame” Anderson (Jonathan Majors), is released from prison and wants everything Adonis has built.
At the time of publication, it is unclear whether the classic Rocky films (Rocky I to V) will also be available on the service along with these four titles. their Final presentation on Netflix US slated for late 2023. We’ll keep a close eye on the roster and update you if the Original Classics are confirmed for June as well.
However, if you’re looking for a dose of The Italian Stallion right now, don’t forget that Netflix is currently the exclusive home of Sly. The intimate, feature-length documentary series released last year takes a stunning, retrospective look at the underprivileged life of Sylvester Stallone, his incredible career, and the incredible true story of how he brought the original Rocky into existence. It’s a perfect companion watch before diving into Rocky Balboa and the Creed Trilogy!
The latest addition from Netflix’s MGM deal
If you’re wondering how Netflix managed to acquire such a massive franchise, it’s the latest fruit of Netflix’s new licensing agreement with MGM last December.
As you’ll recall, that historic deal started with a big bang when the entire James Bond film collection headed to Netflix. we have also seen man’s anger added, plus animated addams family Movies were also added.
But there’s a catch, and it’s a big one: If you want to marathon these boxing hits, you’ll have to do it quickly.
Like the 007 movies – which already left Netflix after a surprisingly short three-month run – we’re hearing that The Creed Collection and Rocky Balboa will also only be licensed to stream for exactly three months. This means the clock will start ticking as soon as they drop, and you’ll probably only have until September 1st before they leave the platform and go back to the MGM/Amazon vault.
