In case you thought you’d seen the last of Michelle Keegan in the Harlan Coben universe after the global event fool me oncethink again! Earlier this month, it was revealed that the “Cobaneverse” is expanding once again with a brand new, UK-based adaptation of his 2007 thriller novel. Forest.
Filming has officially been underway in Manchester and throughout Northern England for the past few weeks, and we’ve already gotten to see some incredibly juicy behind-the-scenes photos of the cast, courtesy of some public photos that we can share below.

Behind the scenes: First glimpse of the cast on set
With production now underway, the cameras have been rolling in the North West, and photographers have managed to capture the cast in the thick of the action.
But first day of filmingWe got our first glimpse of lead actor Tom Bateman, looking worried and serious in the back of a car. He plays the central role of Paul ‘Cope’ Copeland, and it looks like Cope is about to go through a very stressful time.

more recently, Latest pictures have surfaced Of Michelle Keegan Stepping onto the set. Keegan, looking effortlessly stylish, was photographed on her phone while walking to her vehicle wearing a red and white tweed jacket, flared jeans and a classic white T-shirt.
But it’s not all just limited to stylish wardrobe choices – things are already getting explosive! Additional photos from the night shoot confirm a massive stunt sequence involving Keegan’s character. The snaps show a dramatic car accident where her vehicle crashes into the fence of a house. co-star James Buckley (middlemen) was also seen at the scene, looking clearly distressed as he opened the car door.

Whatever is happening in the jungle, it will clearly be an action-packed, bumpy ride!
what is the plot of Forest?
If you feel a sense of déjà vu with the title, it’s because Netflix adapted it first Forest Back as a Polish-language miniseries in 2020 (W Glebi Lasu). However, this time the action has been shifted entirely to the UK for the Northern affair.
Here’s the official logline for the new 8-part adaptation:
“Twenty years ago, Paul ‘Cope’ Copeland’s sister, Camille, disappeared from a summer camp in the woods, a loss that shattered their family. Now a top barrister and devoted single father to ten-year-old daughter Cammy, Cope has rebuilt his life.
But when a man’s body turns up – allegedly twenty years after he was murdered along with Camille – Cope becomes convinced that his sister may also have come out of the woods alive. Determined to uncover the truth, Cope begins a search for answers, uncovering years of lies, cover-ups, and family secrets that threaten to destroy everything he’s built.
