The reversed power dynamic of the workplace – with Goldstein’s Daniel as Lopez’s subordinate to CEO Jackie – created highly fertile ground for the script. Goldstein said, “I think I’ve always been attracted to workplace relationships because they’re so inherently fraught. People trying their best to behave appropriately while also being completely free of their emotions, which is where the comedy and romance reside.”

The film is now officially in post-production and in the final stages of release. Filming began on March 10, 2025, and ended around May 10, 2025. Filming took place throughout New Jersey, primarily in Hoboken, at locations including Mile Square, 1st and River Streets, and 10th + Washington Street.
The behind-the-scenes snapshot from April 2025 showed Lopez in Hoboken wearing a stunning all-white business ensemble, which included a white trench coat, blazer and fitted pants with a thick gold chain. In contrast, Goldstein was seen in a dark navy overcoat, polka dot tie and striped scarf.
Before production began, Jennifer Lopez posted a bunch of photos from a table on Instagram with the caption, “This is going to be a fun one.”
