Filming of the second season is underway in Winnipeg, Manitoba, beginning June 9, 2026. The shooting will last for four months and is scheduled to end by October 16, 2026.

What’s next for the Ingalls family?
Charles invested great hopes and much of the family’s money in settling the land at the time of independence. Unfortunately for the Ingalls family, they may not live. Eli, the town mayor, sold all the residents a dream, and the rug is swiftly pulled from under everyone when the government decides it wants to cash in on their investment after buying land from the Osage. Ingalls’ crops are destroyed by fire, mortgage debt is looming, and his tenants in the north are unable to pay rent, finding it impossible to pay the $1.50 per acre price and get back on their feet.
Ultimately, they are faced with the difficult choice of leaving their small home, and after Mr. Edwards joins them, the Ingalls set out for new pastures in the town of Walnut Grove, Minnesota.
The next season will cover the events of Laura Ingalls’ autobiographical children’s novel “On the Banks of Plum Creek”.
