
Netflix has announced medieval fantasy drama ‘Barbaric’, based on the best-selling comics by Michael Moreci and Nathan Gooden. Here’s everything we know about it so far!
After first appearing in 2024, Netflix officially Greenlight for live-action adaptation of Walt Comics’ best-selling dark fantasy title, Uncultured. There are some serious industry veterans behind this series. Academy Award nominee Sheldon Turner (X-Men: First Class) co-starring with Robert Rovner, best known for his writing work on The CW series super girl.
The series is being produced by Jennifer Klein (Armageddon, Pearl Harbor) for 100% Productions, Barry Jossen and Tana Jamieson for A+E Studios, Javier Grillo-Marxuach (lost, the witcher), FJ DeSanto and Damien Vassell for Vault Comics; Sam Claflin, Luke Carroll and Michael Stevenson for Soft Claw Productions.

What is Barbarik comic about?
Barbaric began his journey in Vault Comics in 2021. It is written by Michael Moresi and illustrated by Nathan Gooden. The series is currently on its fifth volume, with a paperback edition scheduled for release in August. Who has been cast in Barbarik?
When? deadline The project was first revealed by Sam Claflin in 2024 (Daisy Jones and the Six and the Peaky Blinders) was set to star and executive produce.
