TodayAlong with massive updates, 3 major anime announcements were made hit and speed And two new anime were announced: Jimoto Saiko! and a collaboration between animation studios Sunrise and Shaft.
Netflix has increased its anime output in recent years as the popularity of the medium continues to grow. The demand for new anime has never been higher, and the streaming service is committed to catering to anime fans of all different tastes with new weekly titles, original net animations, and licensed content.
With the Annecy Film Festival approaching, there will be more announcements coming soon. For now, three big announcements, two of which come from acclaimed studio Mappa.
Beat & Motion’s first teaser trailer, poster and release window revealed
Years in the making, we’ve been waiting a very long time for an update on this hit and speed Anime series. A beat and motion anime series was announced before the manga began publication, running from February 25, 2023 to January 25, 2025 in Shonen Jump+. Six volumes of the manga were published. Mappa, the same studio behind Dorohedoro, Ranma 1/2, Jujutsu Kaisen and Attack on Titan is producing the anime.
We finally have a big update for hit and speed anime, Netflix unveiled its first poster and confirmed that the anime will be released sometime in 2027.

The plot of Beat and Motion is:
“Tatsuhiko Hirayama’s love of drawing began at an early age, and he aspired to someday work in animation. But when the young boy is bullied for his art, Tatsuhiko vows to never draw in front of others again. Desperate to find something new to fill the void in his heart, he turns to music but ultimately becomes fed up with his mediocrity.
While Tatsuhiko is drinking with his friends, his sob story incurs the wrath of a drunk woman, scaring the young man into reevaluating his outlook on life. He decides to give animation another chance and soon rediscovers his love for the medium, pushing himself to publish a short video. Tatsuhiko is stunned when the video goes viral, and even more so when his favorite singer, Nico Kashiwagi, requests collaboration on his next music video!
Excited to finally meet the artist he has admired for so long, the young man is shocked to learn that Nico is the same bar patron who gave him an earful, though he has no memory of that drunken night. Initially hesitant with their new partnership, Tatsuhiko gradually discovers that there is more to Nico’s cruel passion than he realizes.
Jimoto Saiko! (WT) First poster and trailer unveiled for new anime announcement
A brand new anime has been announced for Netflix: Jimito Sacco. Another Mappa project will be an adaptation of anime author and illustrator Usagi’s web manga series.

Sunrise and Shaft are collaborating on a project for the first time
Animation studios Sunrise and Shaft are collaborating on a project for the first time. However, details of the project will not be announced until June 23rd!
Sunrise City is famous for producing the Gundam series along with other popular anime like City Hunter, Code Geass, Gintama, Sacred Seven, Tiger & Bunny. Meanwhile, the SHAFT anime series is known for quintessential quintuplets, magia record, March comes like a lionAnd Pretty Boy Detective Club.

It’s going to be a busy few weeks for anime Netflix news. Next week, Netflix will be showcasing a large portion of its upcoming slate during the Annecy Film Festival, premiering on June 23 at 4:30 pm CEST. This is in addition to several Netflix shows, like Cyberpunk Edgerunners, expected to debut new intel at Anime Expo LA over the 4th of July weekend.
