Produced by MoonEdge Pictures in co-production with BBC, ZDFnio and Netflix, A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder took the world by storm when it debuted in August 2024, claiming the No. 1 spot on Netflix’s Global Top 10 TV (English) list for its first week and dropping out after 3 weeks with 90 million hours watched and 19.5 million views. By the end of 2025, it had a total viewership of 148.7M hours watched and 32.2M views.

Now, the adaptation of Holly Jackson’s beloved book series is moving on to a second book: Good Girl, Bad Blood.

When is A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2 coming out on Netflix?

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2 will premiere on May 27, 2026. The new season will consist of six 45-minute episodes, as first confirmed on April 1.

Note on regional availability: Like Season 1, the series will launch globally on Netflix with a few notable exceptions due to co-production rights. It will air in the UK and Ireland on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer, in Germany, Austria and Switzerland exclusively on ZDFnio, and in Australia exclusively on Stan.


What is the story of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2?

Season 2 will be a direct adaptation of Holly Jackson’s second novel in the series, Good Girl, Bad Blood.

Here is the official logline for the upcoming season:

“Having solved the Andy Bell case, Pip is determined to fix the fallout and stay away from any further investigations. But as Max Hastings’ trial approaches, Connor’s brother Jamie suddenly disappears, and Pip finds herself in a race against time to find him. This new mystery will take Pip to unexpected places as she struggles with the idea of justice, and also strays further away from the ‘good girl’ she was. She was once.”

Netflix has officially unveiled the trailer for the new season, teasing a “big and bad” mystery. Along with the trailer, Netflix also released the official poster and a gallery of new images, highlighting returning characters and some highly anticipated new faces joining the world of Little Kilton.

He will be joined by several returning cast members from Season 1, including:

New cast for Season 2:

Little Kilton is getting some new residents, and their arrival is going to shake things up. New cast members include:

  • Eden H. Davis (tell me everything) as Jamie Reynolds: Connor’s brother and a quiet but popular local musician whose sudden disappearance highlights the season’s central mystery.
  • missia butler (England Repack) as Stanley Forbes: a man under investigation whose connections may be deeper than they appear.
  • jack rowan (noughts + crosses) as Charlie Green: Pip’s new neighbor who becomes caught up in the unraveling mystery.
  • freddie england As Robin: A controversial new member to Pip’s friendship group who begins dating Lauren.

Writer Holly Jackson couldn’t be more thrilled with the new entries. Who is behind the scenes of Season 2?

Fans of the books will be happy to know that author Holly Jackson is taking a more active role this time around. For Season 2, Jackson serves as co-writer and adapter with Poppy Kogan, who adapted the first season.

“I’m so thrilled that we can continue Pip’s story and this time, I’m writing on the show!” Jackson said. “We owe everything to our dedicated fans, and I can’t wait to reunite with my AGGGTM family!”
