The game is officially back on! Netflix has recently unveiled this enola holmes 3Introducing us to a brand new batch of photo stills, releasing an official synopsis, and best of all, confirming a Summer 2026 release date.

Before we dive into the gorgeous new photos, let’s take a look at the brand new logline, which confirms a big change of scenery for the youngest Holmes sibling:

Netflix has released eight new images for the upcoming film, and they give us a lot to analyze. It looks like Enola will be trading the gloomy streets of London for the sun-drenched shores of Malta – though she’ll certainly bring danger with her.
Let’s take a look at what the new photos reveal:
- A mature Enola: We see Enola crossing a burning crumbling building, doing some classic sleuthing around sunny Maltese architecture, and most shockingly, she’s wearing a wedding veil. With a logline of “personal and professional dreams collide”, can Enola and Tewkesbury tie the knot?

- Tewkesbury Returns: Speaking of Viscount Tewksbury, Louis Partridge is back! The pictures show him looking happier than ever with Enola on the rocky Mediterranean coast, and in another shot, he is shown kneeling on the floor to lay flowers.
- Sibling Dynamic: Henry Cavill is back as Sherlock Holmes in Deerstalker (okay, metaphorical Deerstalker). We get a great shot of two siblings watching something on the streets of London.
- New and returning faces: Helena Bonham Carter returns as the elusive Holmes matriarch, Eudoria, looking as mysterious as ever in a dark, underground setting. We also get our first look at new cast member Himesh Patel, who is seen sharing a tense, window-side chat with Tewkesbury.

In a statement to Netflix, Millie Bobby Brown explained where we find Enola in this third appearance:
“What I love about this chapter is that Enola is stepping into a version of herself that feels much more defined but is still evolving. She’s made something for herself, which is amazing, but she’s also questioning what she wants next, and I think that’s something a lot of people can relate to.”
Brown also touched on the evolution of her on-screen relationship with Louis Partridge, hinting that fans of the pair have a lot to look forward to:
“Working with Lewis has been a big part of what made these movies special. There’s an ease and spontaneity between us now that you can’t really fake and that just comes from working together for years and supporting each other. What’s been really cool is to explore a more mature version of Enola and Tewksbury’s relationship. It’s no longer just playful, it has real weight to it. We trust each other a lot, which means we take more risks. Can take and really lean into the emotional side of their story.”
In special quotes given to peopleThe cast and director of Enola Holmes 3 emphasized that this latest installment brings high stakes and significant emotional growth to the franchise’s beloved characters. Brown noted that Enola is now “more confident in who she is”, paving the way for a deeper, more mature dynamic with Tewkesbury – although Louis Partridge teased that their impending marriage guarantees “drama around every corner” as the couple go through a “rough patch”.
Backstage, the two stars praised their easy, natural chemistry built on years of mutual trust, a sentiment echoed by new director Philip Barentini, who called the supporting cast “amazing” and described stepping into the adventure franchise as “an absolute blast.”

As previously confirmed, there have been a few changes behind the scenes for this third entry. While Harry Bradbeer directed the first two films, philippe barantini (boiling point, responder) is stepping into the director’s chair for enola holmes 3. jack thorn (their dark stuff, harry potter and the cursed child) returns to write the script, adapted once again from Nancy Springer’s beloved book series.
The producing team is stacked, with Mary Parent, Alex Garcia, Ali Mendes, Robert Brown, Michael Dreyer, Jack Thorne and Millie Bobby Brown herself producing. Executive producers include Joshua Grode, Isobel Richards and Jake Bongiovi.
In addition to Brown, Partridge, Cavill, Patel, and Bonham Carter, the film will also star Sharon Duncan-Brewster and the returning Susan Wokoma (Edith).
