It’s been an exceptionally busy week for the streaming service, with a total of 88 new titles (65 movies and 23 series) joining the library. This is mostly due to the first turnover of the month, which we covered with some additional recommendations midweek. If you’re overwhelmed with options, don’t worry—we’ve picked out some of the best new releases to help you decide what to watch.
It’s meant to help you find out what’s new. We’ve finally launched our Flixable app iOS device. We’ve already received some great feedback and now we’re releasing an update incorporating some of it. You can still find an expanded list of everything new on Netflix US on our hub page, including advanced filters and more information below.

If you’re looking for a sweeping, visually stunning epic to sink your teeth into this weekend, look no further than now.
Rachel Weisz plays Hypatia, a brilliant astronomer and philosopher of Alexandria, in the film set in late 4th century Roman Egypt. As her city is plunged into religious turmoil and the clash between science and dogma, Hypatia fights to save the accumulated knowledge of the ancient world. This is a thought-provoking, beautifully filmed historical drama that often flies under the radar, making it a perfect hidden gem to uncover this weekend.

As one of Sony Pictures’ other releases this week, Merrily We Roll Along has finally arrived on Netflix, bringing the filmed version of Maria Friedman’s Tony Award-winning Broadway revival straight to your living room. This is a taping of the Stephen Sondheim classic that famously flopped upon its original release but has since become a cult favorite.
we walk happily together It tells the story of three friends—Franklin, Charlie, and Mary—and the disintegration of their friendship over the years, but with a twist: the story is told in reverse chronological order.
