Netflix is teaming up with Brad Pitt’s production company Plan B Entertainment and indie distributor Neon on a new feature film called saturn returnStarring Charles Melton, Rachel Brosnahan and Will Poulter. Filming will complete in November 2025, and is scheduled to be released on Netflix sometime in 2026.
Screenplay by Glynn Golde and Clint Bentley with Greg Quader (jockey, netflix is coming train dreams) set to write and direct. Quader and Bentley notably worked together on the Oscar-nominated A24 film sing Sing.
The film is being produced by Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner and Emily Wolfe for Plan B Entertainment, the Oscar-winning team behind the films. 12 years a Slave And Moonlight. Neon is also reportedly attached. Casting directors for Saturn Returns include Laura Rosenthal and Kimberly Ostroy.

The logline for the new film is as follows:
“During their freshman year of college, Eve, Anders, and Nathan were best friends. Then Eve and Anders fell in love. Now, ten years later, they are reunited as virtual strangers at their father’s funeral. Told across two timelines, Saturn Returns explores what was lost in between and what can still be found.”

Will Poulter’s signature netflix credit Black Mirror: BandersnatchThe interactive one-off which became a platform milestone and received numerous awards. he re-inspected black Mirror Universe again as Colin Rittman in 2025. Other Notable credits include We’re the Millers, The Maze Runner, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and a role with melton war. Poulter plays the role of Nathan.

Filming for Saturn Returns began on September 25, 2026 in the Chicago area and was completed by November 11, 2026.
The film’s budget is reportedly “between $13-14 million.”
