Netflix’s smash hit British superhero series Supacell One step closer to returning to our screens. Series creator Rapman has officially confirmed that filming of the highly anticipated second season has finally completed after continuous production delays. here’s the latest Supacell season 2.
Fans have been eagerly waiting for an update to the south London super-powered drama since its explosive debut in June 2024. After a swift renewal from Netflix, the road to Season 2 hasn’t been entirely smooth. As we previously reported, filming hit a few snags, initially delaying production and pushing it back to late 2025.
Now the wait for the cameras to be turned off is over.
Taking to Instagram, showrunner and creator Rapman Shared a big update with fansPosting a picture of me hard at work in the editing suit. There is a title card on the monitor in front of him Supacell 2In which the remaining lead actors look ready for action.
In his caption, Rapman addressed production hurdles but assured fans that the final product will deliver:
“Due to circumstances beyond our control we had to pause production for a while. But filming is finally complete! I’m currently in editing to get it ready. It’s coming and I promise it will be worth the wait. motiv🏾🙏🏾. #supesail2”

A few weeks before Rapman’s announcement of the wrap, production was still in full swing on the streets of London.
On 6th May 2026, Kelvin DembaThe actor, who plays fan-favourite speedster Rodney, was spotted filming scenes on London’s upmarket Bond Street. In the exclusive behind-the-scenes shot, Demba can be seen followed by a camera and sound crew while she is loaded with high-end designer shopping bags, including a white Prada bag and a yellow Selfridges bag.

Due to the sheer scale of the second season, Rapman will not be solely shouldering the responsibility of directing this time. kobi adom (top boy, noughts + crosses) has been chosen to direct alongside Rapman to help bring the next chapter to life.
Furthermore, the cast is on the rise. While the main five are returning, Season 2 has officially added four new cast members to the roster to shake things up after the deadly events of the Season 1 finale, including Frank Bourke, Tiana Simone, Richard Keep, and Ed Allenby.

The series enters a lengthy post-production phase, with filming officially ending by June 2026.
Supacell is a heavy VFX show – it takes a lot of time in the editing room to bring those telekinetic, time-traveling and super-speed abilities to life.
