Netflix itself has now confirmed this The Amazing Digital Circus: The Last ActThat includes the show’s highly anticipated finale episode (and the already-released eighth episode), which will arrive on Netflix globally on June 19, 2026, coinciding with the finale’s YouTube debut and following its unprecedented theatrical rollout.
The psychological dark comedy from the team of creators Gooseworx and GLITCH Productions has been an absolute juggernaut since its initial YouTube debut in 2023. If you’ve been anxiously waiting to see how the twisted journey of Pommy, Jax, Kane, and the rest of the digital crew finally ends on Netflix, your patience is about to pay off.
As we previously reported in March, Episode 8 premiered on YouTube but was completely missing on Netflix. However, this was no cause for panic! During the GLITCH Direct 2025 presentation, the creators explained an evolving release strategy thanks to their Netflix licensing deal. Because Netflix viewers are accustomed to binge-watching, GLITCH and/or Netflix together decided to move away from the day-by-date individual episode drops that we saw in the show’s first run. Instead, they opted to bundle the new episodes together – a strategy that worked wonders when episodes 5, 6, and 7 were released as a unified batch in December 2025.
Now, the grand finale is getting exactly the same treatment, but with a huge dramatic twist.
“The Last Act” combines the recently released Episode 8 with the all-new, hour-long Episode 9 to create an extended-length conclusion. Before it hits Netflix, this final act is taking the cinema box office by storm. according to cartoon brewGLITCH’s partnership with Fathom Events has completely broken presale recordsGrossing over $7.5 million in the US and expanding its presence from 900 to over 2,000 theaters, theaters around the world are now ready to screen it after dedicated fan campaigns.
The theatrical release was accompanied by a surprise announcement with the final trailer where the team wrote:
“Hey guys! We’re going to the big screen for the first time!! This is a crazy leap of faith we’re taking for indie animation, and we couldn’t be more excited. TADC’s hour-long grand finale will be paired with Episode 8 and will be shown early in hundreds of theaters around the world starting June 4th.
We are vigorously contacting theaters to take it to as many places as possible. If it’s not at a movie theater in your location, respectfully call your local movie theater and ask them to air it! It just might work!”!
What is the final episode about?
So, what can fans actually expect from this supersized finale? If the official summary is anything to go by, things are looking remarkably bleak. After the explosive events leading up to the finale, Ken is goneDue to which the circus became completely dark. Our beloved artists have been left completely to their own devices and the mistakes and traumas of their past.
As the terrifying prospect of eternity looms, Pomney and the gang will finally discover the ultimate truth about the Digital Circus and its mysterious history. The big question remains: will they agree to what they uncover, or will they choose… “the other option”?
However, rest assured, Gooseworks and team haven’t completely abandoned the show’s dark comedic roots. As cheekily promised in the official Fathom event description, “Probably at some point someone says something strange, because this ending can’t be that disappointing, right?”
dramatic window for final act The event is officially scheduled to run from June 4 to June 18. Again, it’s no coincidence that Netflix is perfectly timed to drop the final batch, along with YouTube, the very next day.
It’s been a wild ride for me amazing digital circus On Netflix. From breaking into the weekly global top 10 charts to giving us all a minor heart attack late last year with the misinformation that it was “leaving soon”, the show has certainly proven to be one of the most successful pieces of independent animation in streaming history.
