All five seasons (100 episodes) first debuted on Netflix US on June 7, 2025, although it streams elsewhere. blind spot was a huge ratings juggernaut on Netflix
What makes this swift departure sting even more is how incredibly well the series has done during its short tenure on the platform. Although it may have just missed out on Netflix’s Global Top 10 chart – mainly due to only being included in the US – it was an absolute monster domestically.
The series spent an impressive 29 days in the Netflix US Top 10 TV chart. But it was independent data from Nielsen that really demonstrated the sheer scale of the show’s revival. blind spot Became the poster child for the “Netflix Effect”, achieving massive success with both returning fans and new viewers. We also know that the series got 349.3M viewing hours on Netflix, which is equivalent to 23.5M views.
According to Nielsen streaming ratings at the time of release:
- week 1: The series debuted at #2 overall with a whopping 1.9 billion viewing minutes. Nielsen noted that viewers in the 50+ demographic contributed 62% of viewing time, while the series also indexed highly among Black (20%) and Hispanic (28%) viewers.
- Week 2: blind spot remained remarkably consistent, pulling in another 1.8 billion minutes and actually rising to the #1 spot in overall streaming. It maintained its strong hold on the 50+ demographic (59% of minutes) and continued to over-index with Hispanic (24%) and Black (18%) streamers.
- Week 3: The pace refused to slow down. The show took another 1.7 billion minutes and shared the top spot on the Acquired Titles chart with another hit, animal kingdom.
This strict one-year window is becoming the new normal for high-profile licensed shows, as competing studios look to take advantage of massive Netflix viewership increases before moving their properties back to their original streaming services. Where it will stream next is not known at this time. As best we can tell, it doesn’t have a permanent home in the US, even though HBO Max would naturally make the most sense.
With 100 episodes completed, if you want to finish the series before it disappears in early June, you’ll have to clear your schedule and start getting those tattoos done immediately.
