‘Elite Force’ Season 1 Ending Explained & Will There Be a Season 2?

Closing Max opens as (Tristan Zanchi) An aircraft has been driven ashore during an evacuation exercise. He tries to plead his case with Cedric (Guillaume Gouix), who reminds him that he has two weeks until his disciplinary hearing, and until then he cannot join him on the field, as it is almost certain that he cannot continue within the team. He then informs Max that someone is there to see him; This is his mother, Nathalie (Jacqueline Corrado), who tries to come clean about the fact that David is her biological father, which she finds out in episode 5. As she tells it, Laurent (David’s deceased partner) was deployed overseas for four months; When he returned, he learned that she was pregnant from Max. Later, when Laurent and Nathalie tried to conceive another child, they discovered that Laurent had male infertility. As for David’s identity as Max’s biological father, Nathalie insists that she kept this secret “to protect him”. Max says that the world would be very different if his father were alive, he accuses Nathalie of taking away the father figure from him, then gets out of the car.

As David brings coffee to Jessica (Judith L. Zein), he says he is ready to become “head of the stay-at-home dad section”; Jess is worried that her daughter Manon is not answering her calls. As he leaves home, David receives a call from one of his co-workers, asking about Manon’s whereabouts; He tells her that there is a hostage situation inside his music academy, with no further details. When David arrives at the scene, Cedric is already briefing his squad, and a list of the hostages is being made; At a glance, David realizes that Manon is one of them, and tells Jessica on the phone, who begins to cry. The situation does not involve any stated demands from the terrorists, and the crew is described as very prepared; The entire Sangeet Academy building is made of glass, which leaves it exposed to agents trying to infiltrate it. Soon, a plan will be made to find a way out.

Max is enrolled in Cedric’s squadron to deal with the hostage situation. As they try to plug into the internal surveillance system and get a clear view of the amphitheater where the hostages are being held, two members of the unit are shot and seriously wounded; One of them is revealed to be Max’s girlfriend Rafael. Despite Cedric’s initial objections, as David’s emotions run high, the situation requires everyone to remain vigilant. David takes command of another unit to get closer to the terrorists; As he advances into the building, the terrorist demands to speak to David, and reveals herself to be Amal Maynard (Negzia), the mother of a young child who was murdered more than 15 years earlier, a fact revealed in episode 5. Myrd is a former soldier who was at the army base at the time of the attack; The GIGN crew discovers that he is an expert at long range shooting. Horrified, as Amal vows to torment David, they consider the crisis a suicide operation and formulate a plan to extract the hostages as quickly as possible.

David, proceeding inside the building, eventually finds Amal and two henchmen: as they hold her at gunpoint, she orders them to hold their fire and “This will only end when I say so”, as David says that she will never make it out alive and that she has already been defeated. After this both the henchmen beat up David.

Cedric’s crew eventually establishes a clear scene, and the five GIGN members together take out all the terrorists in the amphitheater, including a shot taken by Max himself. As they evacuated the hostages, the unit discovered CL-30 explosives linked to a remote-controlled device; What’s worse, Manon has been handcuffed with explosives. David eventually finds Amal, who has a gun pointed at her neck and another with a remote; She swears that David will “lose everything, like I just lost”, and then kills herself, activating a 5-minute countdown.

Tanya succeeds in freeing Manon from the explosive devices, and David, Manon and the remaining GIGN successfully evacuate the amphitheater within seconds. Meanwhile, the unit locates a storage unit belonging to Amal; They learn that Amal was the one who killed Crawler earlier in the show. But then, they also learn that Amal spied on Jess and took pictures of her car’s license plate. They realize too late that the real target of the operation was Jess and that the hostage crisis was a hoax. As David gets that information, he sees Jess waving through the glass window of the music school. She had been on campus since the beginning of the crisis. David and Manon watch as the explosives under his car blow up.
