Pip Fitz-Amoby is officially returning to our screens for the last time. Netflix has now confirmed that the hit YA mystery series A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Has been renewed for a third and final season.
The final chapter will bring Pip’s final investigation to a gripping conclusion, officially completing the screen adaptation of Holly Jackson’s bestselling book trilogy. Based on the third novel, As Good as Dead, the final installment promises to be the darkest entry yet.
The renewal shouldn’t surprise anyone after the show’s phenomenal performance. Season 1 was a massive global hit, debuting at #1 on the Global Top 10 TV (English) list and returning the original novel to the #1 spot on the New York Times Best Sellers list following the trailer’s debut. Season 2 did the same, entering the Global Top 10 TV (English) list after only four days on the streamer, although saw a large drop in viewership (down by 80%).
In a rare and exciting twist for a renewal announcement, Netflix also confirmed Season 3 production has already been completed. If you’re wondering how they managed to finish filming before the renewal was officially announced, turns out the four-episode final installment was shot back-to-back with season 2 during the latter half of 2025! From the point of view of the times, there is no doubt that it was because Wednesday Season 3 is set to be filmed throughout most of 2026.

The final season is currently scheduled for global premiere 2027.
Writer and executive producer Holly Jackson expressed her excitement about having her favorite book adapted into a trilogy:
“I’m glad we’re able to bring A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder to its (bloody) conclusion. As Good as Dead is my favorite of the book series and it’s also my favorite season of the show so far. You’ll see Pip like you’ve never seen him before. It’s dark, breathless, terrifying and… somehow still funny. Come back to Little Kilton for the last time… if you dare.”
Star Emma Myers, who also serves as an executive producer on the series, shared a similar sentiment:
“I’m so excited that we’re bringing season 3 of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder to everyone. Thank you so much to everyone who loves and supports this show! It’s truly been an incredible experience and Pip will be a character I’ll never forget. Book 3 is my favorite of all the books, so I’m so excited to show everyone what we’ve done. Get ready for a crazy time!”
