Netflix India released two interesting originals this month.
Season 2 of the popular Netflix original courtroom comedy the matter is legal April kicks off with new original dark comedy toaster. The month also saw some under-the-radar theatrical releases, including the survival thriller you and meromance two crazy people in the cityand indie drama street theater.

slaughter 2 A spiritual sequel to the sleeper hit of 2022 slaughter (which is also on Netflix). Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta return as new characters, although their names remain the same as the original. Mishra plays a prison guard who forms an unexpected friendship with a woman (Gupta) jailed for a crime she says she did not commit. A rapper and an influencer are left fighting for their lives on a romantic vacation when they become trapped in an empty pool that is so deep it is difficult to get out. When the wedding is cancelled, Ramakant tries to retrieve the toaster so he can return it to the store for a refund – even if this means stealing it from the orphanage where the bride’s family had donated it. This dark comedy starring Netflix India regular Rajkummar Rao is serious and not very funny, as Ramakant goes to immoral lengths just to get his hands on a $50 toaster. The world doesn’t need any movie that puts glasses on a beautiful actress only to have them removed during a makeover scene that makes her realize how beautiful she always was.
