Why won’t Resident Alien return in season 5?
Despite getting a massive second life on Netflix, the streamer had no hand in Resident Alien’s cancellation.
The original cancellation decision came directly from NBCUniversal. After airing its first three seasons on Syfy, the show moved to USA Network for Season 4. Reactions from cast and fans to the cancellation
Resident Alien ended with a mix of gratitude and heartbreak. While Sheridan remains vaguely optimistic about the possibility of a follow-up film or six-episode limited series to examine Harry’s journey, for now, season 4 is the definitive end.
