Netflix continues its extensive contribution to live sports programming, and this time, they are making a move in this direction. Netflix UK has recently announced a brand new live special called Beat Luke Littler, which will see everyday pub players and amateur dart enthusiasts go head-to-head with the game’s biggest superstars for a life-changing cash prize. The special is set to air live on Netflix on Friday, October 30, 2026.
Who is Luke Littler?
If you’re not familiar with the UK darts scene or the international game, you may be wondering who Luke Littler actually is. Nicknamed “The Nuke”, the 19-year-old is an absolute darts prodigy who has taken the sporting world by storm. At the age of just 16, he enthralled millions of viewers around the world by reaching the final of the 2023/24 PDC World Darts Championship. Since that explosive debut, his meteoric rise has continued: he is now a two-time back-to-back World Darts Champion (winning the title in both 2025 and 2026) and sits comfortably as world number one. Known for his devastating scoring accuracy and incredibly reckless playing style, Littler has transformed the game into a mainstream cultural phenomenon.
What is the ‘Beat Luke Littler’ event?
In this ultimate David vs. Goliath high-stakes challenge, 20 selected amateur darts players will have a perfect leg of 501 to try to defeat “The Nuke” on live television. award? An astonishing £501,000 for anyone who can do the impossible.
“Everyone thinks they can beat me,” Littler said in a promotional video for the event after seeing fans’ confident social media comments. “Now he’s got a chance to prove it. Bring it on.”

If you fancy your chances against the greatest darts player on the planet, casting is open now! Open regional heats will be held in London and Manchester in September 2026. However, before you catch your arrow, make sure you meet the official eligibility requirements:
- If selected you will have or will have the right to legally reside or travel in the UK for the duration of the production.
- You are 18 years of age or older, or, if applying on behalf of a minor, the minor will be 12 years of age or older as of October 13, 2026.
- Amateur only: You are not currently, and have never been, a Professional Darts Corporation (“PDC”) Tour Card holder.
