Netflix is preparing to start filming in August 2026 for the upcoming spy-comedy detective pair. Starring Kevin Hart and Henry Cavill, the pair will play rival undercover spies who are forced to work together when their wives become fast friends in their Lamaze class. detective pair is an upcoming Netflix original spy-comedy film directed by mcgee (Babysitter) and written by lost City Authors Aaron and Ada Nee And Adam Project’s Jonathan Tropper. The script is based on a short story which was written by Sean Lewis.
There are some big names attached to the project as producers, including 21 Laps Entertainment with Shawn Levy, Dan Levin, and Emily Morris; Maximum Effort with Ryan Reynolds; and finally Heartbeat with Kevin Hart, Luke Kelly-Kline and Brian Smiley.

Henry Cavill Has starred in a few Netflix projects, the most notable of which is the role of Geralt of Rivia Magician for 3 seasons and starred as Sherlock Holmes in all three enola holmes Movies. He also acted in the war drama sand castle. Outside of Netflix, he is best known for playing Clark Kent aka Superman snyderverse.

It is reported in issue 1511 of Production Weekly that Spy Duo is set to begin filming in New Jersey sometime in August 2026. Filming is listed to conclude sometime in November 2026.
