Season 4 takes Mickey on his most personal journey yet after he is convicted of murdering his former client, Sam Scales. The season ends with Mickey’s acquittal but facing a new, shocking secret. However, the acquittal came at a great emotional cost. Mickey is dealt a devastating blow by the death of his mentor and father figure, David “Legal” Siegel (Elliot Gould), who dies of a fatal heart attack. Heading into Season 5, Legal’s absence leaves Mickey without his primary sounding board and guiding compass, which is a major thematic and emotional obstacle for Legal.

According to the official logline for season 5, Mickey’s world is turned upside down when Amy, his half-sister he never knew existed, asks for his help in freeing a wrongly convicted woman. This woman is reportedly in jail, sharply raising the stakes Murder of her ex-husband, a sheriff’s deputy.
In a season defined by blood ties and buried secrets, Mickey takes on a difficult habeas petition to overturn a six-year-old murder conviction. Meanwhile, the stakes will rise for their team, as Lorna, Izzie, and Cisco tackle high-profile challenges of their own.

Filming of the final season, which reportedly has a budget of between $5 to $7 million per episode, will be completed in July 2026 after cameras officially begin rolling on March 2. lincoln lawyer has always been a love letter to Los Angeles, and its production footprint proves it. Cast and crew preparations are complete for The Lincoln Lawyer Season 5
The leading man also shared several tributes on his Instagram, including a hilarious, hilarious video of the cast and crew playing drums on the L.A. coast in unison with Garcia-Rulfo — a timely homage to the viral Norwegian World Cup celebrations.
